The playful, ornate, colorful tower of the Kuchlbauer brewery in Bavaria is visible from afar. Connoisseurs can see immediately that Friedensreich Hundertwasser was at work here. Round shapes, dancing windows, uneven floors and onion domes are typical elements of his work.
Michael Salleck has been running the Kuchlbauer brewery for nine generations. A real family business. Only wheat beer is brewed, no bottom-fermented lagers. So, wheat beer is what we have in the glass today, the Turmweisse (translated: tower wheat beer). The Hundertwasser tower is depicted on the label.
It’s un amber-colored wheat beer. Fresh fruity aromas of apricot and tangerine develop a pleasant aromatic scent in combination with the cereal notes. Cheers!
