Brewer's Advent Day #3: Alms Hell

The highest and probably most extraordinary brewing place for German beer is located at around 1,000 m above sea level. A former, converted cable car station serves as a brewery there. Here the two connoisseurs can pursue their passion undisturbed and develop beers full of character, strictly brewed according to the Bavarian purity law and old craft tradition.

The Alms beer was then even produced as a hiking beer in the second step. However, the bottles were too impractical for that, which is why the decision was made to fill the beer in a can.

Because there was of course no cans on the Alm, the beer was brewed and bottled at the Egerer brewery.

Thouroughly enjoyed this. A good brew. Clearly the historic experience of the brewers has paid dividends.

Hoss brewery is the mountain brewery of Alms. It is in Sulzberg Germany, west of Fussen. The parent's brewery Hirsch is in Sonthofen which has a lovely Inn and restaurant.
