Description
The "Kuchlbauer" holds one of the oldest brewing rights in the world. As early as 1300, the main house of the brewery in Abensberg received the brewing privileges from the Count of Abensberg. The brewery has carried its name since 1751: The then-owner of the property, known as "Kuchlpaur," supplied the Bishop of Regensburg with provisions.
Today, the hallmark of this wheat beer brewery is the 70-meter-high Kuchlbauer Tower. From a distance, you can already recognize the signature of its creator: Friedensreich Hundertwasser.
