Description
For more than a hundred years, the course of the Gebrüder Maisel brewery has been set for the future. In fact, the impressive company history, the development from a regional brewery to one of the leading wheat beer breweries in Germany, speaks for itself. And the values of a family brewery have traditionally continued to live on. Weissbier-Tradition1887 the family business was founded by Hans and Eberhardt Maisel. They built a modern brewery on the outskirts of Bayreuth and thus laid the foundation for the still very successful company. In the midst of the global economic crisis of the 1920s, Fritz and Andreas, the sons of the founders' brothers, took over the management of the brewery business. It was Fritz Maisel, however, who ultimately led the company from 1936 on its own responsibility. In 1955, together with his sons Hans and Oscar, he made a far-reaching decision: the introduction of a wheat beer, which initially operated under the auspicious name "champagne wheat". In fact, Maisel's Weisse has since become a trendsetter for wheat beer in Germany and from the regional brewery Gebrüder Maisel a recognized specialty beer brewery whose beers are also appreciated beyond the borders of Germany.
