Description

“From early days homebrewing in Carson’s carport, to selling our first beer, it’s been a fantastic ride. We are fortunate to call Boone home, and are thrilled to give back and help Make | Boone | Shine.” Early Days It all started on January 8th, 2012 during a conversation at a local yogurt shop. After many hours homebrewing, reading stacks of books, and visiting countless breweries, we had a plan. A good friend came up with the idea to call our beer and the brewery, “Booneshine.” At first, we laughed (you know, moonshine), but the more we thought about it, the more we liked it. We would call our beer Booneshine and our mission would be to make the High Country a better place - Make | Boone | Shine. The brewery opened in July 2015 next door to Basil’s restaurant. We operated in 1,200 square feet with three 10bbl fermentation tanks. It wasn’t long before we needed more fermentation tanks to keep up with demand. Three more 10bbl fermenters were added in late 2016. We started mobile canning in March 2017 and were operating at maximum capacity. Booneshine needed more space to continue growing.
