Description
There is evidence that beer has been brewed in Maxlrain since 1636. Until around 1900 in the castle itself, then on today's brewery site, which has retained all its charm of a country brewery. Josef Kronast, the master brewer, watches over the fine beer specialities, 15 in number. Every year, the Maxlrainer Schlossbrauerei Maxlrain is awarded DLG Gold and since 2008 without interruption with the Bundesehrenpreis, the highest award for a German brewery.
