Brewed with Neunhofer Tennenmalz and fresh, undried cone hops. During the boiling process, freshly harvested cone hops are added to give the beer its typical bitterness. The Doldenpils is then fermented cold and for a long time. During secondary fermentation in the lager cellar, the beer is additionally wet-hopped with fresh cone hops of the "Hersbrucker spät" variety to make it even more aromatic.
Appearance: Autumn leaf gold, unfiltered, therefore slightly cloudy with snow-white, compact foam.
Aroma: The first impression is reminiscent of the fresh hop garden, followed by a well-balanced composition of dry plum and citrus aromas, merging into light caramel.
Taste: A pleasant but distinct bitterness in the first sip, which transitions into fruity plum and citrus flavors. Very soft, light caramel tones on the finish.
Gut gelungenes Pils. Erfrischend, mit leicht fruchtigen und karamelligen Noten, aber auch einer deutlichen aber nicht überzogenen Bittere. Lässt sich sehr gut wegtrinken.
