Beer description

For this beer we tried to play with different grains to change the taste and mouthfeel. On paper, most grains like barley, wheat, oats, and rye look pretty much identical. They contain a large amount of starch and carbohydrates, along with some proteins, some fats and varying percentages of fiber. However, the fiber in the grains varies: cellulose, hemicellulose, beta-glucans, pentosans, lignin, etc. The protein composition of each grain can also vary greatly (that's why the bread you bake can have a very different volume and texture depending on the flour used). have a completely different consistency). These four different grains change the taste, appearance, texture and aroma of the beer. The rye gives the beer a sweet flavor, the oats a well-rounded mouthfeel, the wheat a powerful foam and aroma, and yes, the barley makes the beer a beer! We're certainly proud of how this rustic multigrain IPA turned out. Dry-hopped with Amarillo and Simcoe, the resinous-peppery orange zest aroma goes perfectly with the grains!
