Beer description
You may already know that the Russian Imperial Stout was developed to ensure English stouts could survive the perilous voyage to St Petersburg and beyond, but did you know that the Russian Imperial Stout has a homegrown Eastern European cousin?
Our take on the style was brewed with what can only be described as a robust malt bill. We then cold fermented & left this beauty to lager over the holiday season & throughout January. To accentuate its provenance even further we added some tasty little Polish smoked plums.
The result is a delectably malty brew showing off the classic toffee, dried fruit, and dark chocolate flavours of a Baltic Porter, accompanied by a sweet jamminess that takes it to the next level.
