Beer description

Martin Seidl brewed his first Stout back in 1997 in his small brewery in Dietrachting. For the Kalea Beer Advent Calendar, a larger quantity of his "Tinte" was brewed in 2017 for the first time, and it found great popularity beyond its original region. The barley is grown and harvested on his own farm, and he avoids the use of any chemicals (note from Martin Seidl: not even manure or slurry is used on his fields) in his farming practices and the ingredients for this beer. Since 2019, Schwarze Tinte has been brewed under contract in Germany. This Stout is as dark as espresso with a brownish foam. In the aroma, you can detect coffee and dark chocolate with hints of dried fruits. The initial taste is full-bodied with fine carbonation. The flavor profile showcases roasted notes, along with chocolate, caramel, toffee, and licorice.

Like a Drinkable Porter

Less body than a true stout, makes one heck of a nice Porter. Nice chocolate grain and mild hop aroma notes, plus ein gutes buzz =]
