Schwarze Insomnia

Insomnia is the third in the group and a Cold Brew Coffee Stout. The dark beer is brewed in cooperation with the Müller coffee roaster. The roaster supplies the brewery with fairly traded organically grown coffee beans, which are then used to make a cold brew. Cold Brew is a technique in which the coffee is made with cold water and thanks to its gentle nature teases the full aroma out of the coffee bean. The finished coffee then ends up in the kettle and fermented together with hops, malt, oatmeal and yeast. The result is a beer that not only has the color of coffee, but also smells and tastes of it.
