Filtering beer is a relatively new development compared to its more than 6000-year history (first attempts around 1880). Schlappeseppel Kellerbier is named after the fact that it is bottled directly from the lager cellar without filtration.
Schlappeseppel Kellerbier still contains all the clouding ingredients. The main ingredient is yeast, which gives the beer a characteristic, very soft, round and slightly spicy taste. A fine bitter note can also be experienced in the finish.
