Creative Brew #6 of the German Creative Brewers. On the "Day of Beer", the group of German creative brewers met at the village brewery in Unterweißenbrunn in the Röhn and brewed together the Creative Brew #6. Each participant was allowed to take the hot wort home and ferment it there. This time, the decision was made to brew a strong, herbaceous Gruit beer. The spice mix consists of lemon verbena, meadowsweet, yarrow flowers, wormwood, coriander, juniper, rosemary, and blue fenugreek. Four different versions were created. The wort was fermented with two different yeasts (AY4, Kveik) to provide a wider range of flavors. In addition, from these two versions, a "soft version" was created by adding lactose to mitigate the intensity of the herbs. Here: AY4 yeast + lactose.
