In addition to barley and wheat malt, other types of malt are rarely used - such as rye malt for the Forstner Slow 2. Together with Slow Food Styria, the Forstner hand brewery from Kalsdorf near Graz has developed a rye ale that is perfect for lamb dishes. In the glass there is a golden orange beer with a very short-lived foam and a little bit of yeast, which thanks to the bottle fermentation would like to spread a little. Don't worry, that's completely normal for bottle fermentation 😉 As expected, the Forstner Slow 2 reminds us of fresh rye bread from the bakery around the corner, with a pleasant and refreshing citrus note. Liquid rye bread also spreads in the first taste, accompanied by a slightly alcoholic taste and a pleasant carbonization, which the beer is generally very discreet. The Forstner Slow 2 feels very creamy in the mouth and fades away gently with a slight bitterness.
