Description

Artisanal beers from Forstner from Kalsdorf near Graz It was the year 2000 when Gerhard Forstner started his own business as a brewer when he rejected the industrial beer. Before that, he was already breaking new ground as an optician and organic farmer, but his drive for the unconventional has never left him. Nous allons à la Belgique! On a trip to Belgium in 2006 with one of his best friends, Conrad Seidl, Gerhard realized that Belgium was far superior to local brewers when it came to beer diversity. Back home, the experiments began, which ultimately led to many international prizes and high recognition. Quo vadis? At the end of 2014, Gerhard unfortunately separated from the earthly world and left the brewery to his wife Elfriede Forstner, who, after careful consideration, decided to actually continue the brewery. She recognized her enormous talent, which she is now using to brew beers, like Gerhard, that are anything but boring.
