Vintage beer No. 11: Limited hand bottling, only while stocks last Gold Ochsen Dinkel-Weizenbock is a top-fermented wheat beer specialty full of character, brewed from the ancient grain spelt. As Swabia was the center of European spelt cultivation in the Bronze Age, the grain is also nicknamed "Swabian grain". In this respect, the idea of the vintage beer is clearly based on Swabian tradition. The spelt malt not only gives the beer its name, but also lends the spelt wheat bock a characterful, typically top-fermented and slightly sweet body with nutty malt aromas that delight the palate with a long-lasting, round finish. The Gold Ochsen master brewers also used Pilsner malt, wheat malt and Cara Münch as a harmonious addition. The harmonious overall composition impresses with an amber-colored appearance and a creamy, fine-pored head. The elegant effervescence in the first sip and the fruity note on the nose are also impressive.
