Beer description
Craving a bold cold IPA? Well, here it is. This beer is fermented with phenomenal lager yeast to bring out the flavors of all the ingredients it contains. By fermenting with lager yeast, the brewery aims to extract as much flavor and aroma from each ingredient without masking or altering what each ingredient brings to the beer with esters and phenols. They added a touch of locally sourced rice to the grain bill to keep it dangerously drinkable, but kept the grain profile rich enough to balance out the moderate bitterness of Tomahawk hops. Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe, and Galaxy on the cold side provide a classic fruity punch with a pleasant but assertive grapefruit peel-like bitterness. A massive amount of hops used creates a light hop fog - like a West Coast Double IPA, with a lush, lip-smacking foam crown that drinks like a dream. But don't be fooled - it has 7.4% alcohol, so think twice before quickly downing a few glasses of it.
