What if Olde Hickory and The Mill measured up? At the time of brewing, it was immediately decided to put them in Port barrels, this Imperial Stout with honey was the perfect match for this. Maturing in Port barrels slightly weakens the Stout's characteristic roasted malt, chocolate and caramel aromas. In contrast, this Imp. Stout gets extra red fruit characters and a well-present vinousness due to the tannins present from the barrels which balances the beer nicely.
