Beer description

The Philibeg does not fit the style of a special beer style, but can best be described as a mild Scotch Ale. Mild in the sense of alcohol strength, the Philibeg but comes with 10.5 vol.% From the barrel. Rather, it is the malt body, which was tuned to the whiskey. After nine months in a wooden barrel, there is an intimate combination of both: malty caramel, dried fruits, notes of toffee and vanilla. What does the name "Philibeg" mean? This is the Scottish Gaelic name for a kilt. The name choice was obvious: A Scotch Ale in a single malt barrel, which comes from Bavaria.
