Landshut is one of the most beautiful cities in Germany and yet rarely the destination of international visitors. They much prefer to travel to Heidelberg, to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, to Neuschwanstein Castle and crowd through the sights with millions of other tourists. They should rather travel to Landshut. And enjoy best Bavarian beer there.
No other German state has as many breweries as Bavaria. More than half of all breweries in Germany are located there. In the beautiful town of Landhut, there are still two breweries today. At the end of the 18th century, things looked completely different. At that time there were 37 breweries!
