Brewer's Advent Day 2: Fuerst Carl Kellerbier

The Fuerst Carl Schlossbrauerei Ellingen was founded in 1815 and has been brewing tasty top-quality beers in a traditional copper brewery by hand ever since.

The unfiltered Kellerbier (also known as Zwickel) of the Fuerst Carl Schlossbrauerei is a perfect example of the Bavarian art of brewing. Stored in the cellars of Castle Ellingen, the beer is allowed to mature for a particularly long time so that it can develop its full flavor.

They put the wrong beer in mine for number 2. I checked it 3 times, and had other people confirm that it is indeed a different beer. I guess I'll run into this one later maybe?

What happened to this app?!   Kellerbier day 2 offering rules    It is terrific.   Will this comment make it, who knows, but I wish I had a pitcher of this bier in front of me right now.  Cheers folks!

Tasty beer.  Dont recall ever having a kellerbier in the past.  Will be looking into finding some locally for sure.  And I agree with the interviewer, this beer would be outstanding with BBQ ribs.  Terrific day 2 offering.   Prost!

Semi clear dunkle color. Hearty malty slightly sweet taste with a smooth finish. A great German winter beer

Cloudy color, good head , head dissolves quickly. Aroma of light malt. Actually reminds me of a beer I had in Goeppiningon Germany in 1970. Since it’s close to Ellington..... taste is light Pilsner with little after taste.
