Oppigårds Bryggeri - Thurbo Triple IPA

The beer style originates from IPA. For a period in the 1990s, brewers in the US competed to make the highest alcoholic and bitterest IPA. A development that eventually gave us new beer styles. First in the form of Double IPA and then Triple IPA. The beer is not completely typical of the style as we have chosen to keep the bitterness down. Great flavour and aroma of sweet stone fruits with a marmalade-like character is promised. Brewed from Pilsner malt and Carapils. Thurbo Triple IPA is a classic IPA in a modern version with extra malt. The beer is clear and has a great flavour and aroma of sweet stone fruits and citrus. The high alcohol sweetness is balanced by a well-balanced bitterness. Excellent with well-aged mould and hard cheeses.
