Bergmann - Märzenbock - Sud des Monats

Our new beer of the month is a malt-heavy, strong and full-bodied Doppelbock. Hopped with the traditional hop varieties Saazer, Tradition, and Mittelfrüh. Balanced, distinct hop bitterness. By the way, the term "Märzen" is derived from the name of the month: in March, a stronger beer was traditionally brewed that would keep better. Since brewing was not allowed from Georgi (April 23rd) to Michaeli (September 29th), Märzen allowed breweries to serve beer during the summer months.
