Day 11 ::: Ankerbräu - save harbour

The name Ankerbräu comes from the anchor symbol and has it's roots in the Logo of the old restaurant/guesthouse which should indicate to guests to be a "save harbour" for the night.

The brewery has a history for more than 400 years and was mentioned officially for the first time in 1608. It is a small brewery and all beers are brewed traditionally where only local ingredients get used.

The Grandl Bavarian Lager is golden and the first sip is lightly sweet. Malt and slightly hoppy notes as caramel and apple notes are coming through.

We hope you have fun too and are looking forward on your reviews! Cheers

Sour, crisp, yet smoothly bitter. Liked this one as it was complex for a blonde!

This was a fantastic lager with a clear presentation and a slight hint of hops to tingle your palate.

A good lager. With such a great aroma, head and color I had high expectations for this one. Its an easy drinker for sure tho.

Crisp, light, refreshing lager. Nothing special here, but would work as a session beer or summer brew for me.

This guy’s videos are useless. I’ll save you 3 minute. “Yep! It’s a lager! Which I don’t drink!” Should have a lager fan for German beer.

I’m not sure what to say about this one, except that it is a good, solid lager.

Good beer…I do get the hint of apples. Not my favorite of the 11 so far but it is still very good and I would drink it again…and again

This one was okay. The history is the coolest part.

Not bad but not my fav so far.....crisp and refreshing.....a typical lager imo. Did get a hint of apples. Also got a zestiness on my tongue....anyone else get that sensation?? Check out my review on YouTube or Facebook, "Beer-ating with Sean Connors "
