Ingolstadt in the 17th century. The Bavarian Purity Law was about a hundred years old when the Herrnbräu brewery was founded. At that time there were about a dozen breweries in the city. They joined forces and founded one of the first shareholding companies in Germany - the "Actienbrauerei Ingolstadt". Since the 1960s, the beers were sold under the name "Herrnbräu".
Year after year Herrnbräu Tradition is brewed to celebrate the birthday of the Purity Law. It is a true German Style Festbier whose recipe has remained unchanged for many, many years. Enjoy the fine beer, cheers!
