The Weißbierbrauerei Hopf GmbH (Hopf brewery) is a brewery founded in 1892 in Miesbach. Hopf specializes in wheat beers. In 2015, 45,000 hl were brewed. The brewery was founded in 1892. In 1921, the Hopf family took over the brewery and in 1950 set up the bottling and storage cellar at the present site. Since 1975, beer output has increased from 3,000 to 40,000 hectoliters. In 2006, the Hopf brewery was taken over by Hacker-Pschorr GmbH. Hacker-Pschorr is a subsidiary of the Paulaner Brewery Group in Munich. The Paulaner Group is 50% owned by the Schörghuber Group and the Brau Holding International (50.1% to Schörghuber and 49.9% to Heineken).
