Urban Chestnut Brewing Company

In 2010, Bavarian Florian Kuplent founded the Urban Chestnut Brewing Company in St. Louis. From the very beginning, the aim was to offer European, German and Bavarian beers as well as newer and more unusual beer styles brought about by the American craft beer movement. This concept paid off and after a second and larger brewery opened in St. Louis in 2014, Florian learned of a small empty brewery in Wolnzach, Bavaria. The idea of the Hallertau brewery was quickly born and the first hectolitres of Hopfenperle were brewed in Wolnzach in spring 2015. With our authentic heritage and proven quality, Urban Chestnut Brewing Company is an unconventional-minded yet tradition-oriented brewer of craft beer. Using old world brewing techniques and our state of the art brewing facilities, we consistently brew high-quality beers; especially Lager styles. Our on-site, highly sophisticated Quality Assurance Lab houses hundreds of our own proprietary yeast strains, and we employ sustainability and conservation methods during every step of the brewing process.
