Description
The Schlossquelle in Thalheim, Styria, is known as the oldest mineral spring in the country. The healing water is rich in valuable minerals: sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, chloride, sulfate, bicarbonate, and lithium. Brewing beer with this water is an art because the water is considered too hard, according to conventional wisdom. However, the brewers of Thalheim attempted it nonetheless. While many equipment had to be specially developed or adapted, they ultimately succeeded. Today (2023), the product range includes three different beers.
