Description

St. Peter's is an independent brewery founded in 1996 by John Murphy in former farm buildings next to St. Peter's Hall in Bungay, Suffolk, England. The brewery produces draft beers, but is best known for their cold-filtered bottled beers. The oval shape of the signed 500 ml bottle is based on a Gibbstown gin bottle from the 18th century, on the Delaware River near Philadelphia, but also a round version is common. Owner John Murphy founded the marketing consultancy Interbrand and was admitted to an honorary degree by the Doctor of Social Sciences at the University of Brunel in 2001. The brewery also owns the Jerusalem Tavern, a pub in Clerkenwell, London.
