Description

In 2018, Ueli Merz set up the Seebueb brewery in Hombrechtikon on Lake Zurich. In July 2018, master brewer Matthias Bosshard brewed the first brew. Since then, a wide range of about a dozen German and Anglo-Saxon beer styles has been created; plus a seasonally changing range of specialities. Several beers have since been awarded international prizes. In 2022, the output was 1750 hl, the capacity is around 2500 hl. In addition to managing director Ueli Merz and brewmaster Matthias Bosshard, there are two other employees. The Seebueb brewery sees itself as a local brewery on Lake Zurich, supplying Seemeitli and Seebuebe on the coast and in the hinterland. Their beers should be like the attitude to life on the lake: sociable, witty, daredevil and unbending.
