Description

Hardly any other beer is as closely associated with the history of the Ruhr region as Schlegel. Schlegel was brewed for the first time in 1854, after which the brewery from Bochum and Recklinghausen embarked on a unique success story. The brand with the three hammers in its logo was at times one of the eight largest breweries in Germany. From 1980 onwards, Schlegel took a longer break and did not make a comeback until 2002, when two young companies from Bochum breathed new life into the traditional brand with a great deal of commitment and passion.
