Sauer & Hartwig GmbH was founded in 2011 by Werner Sauer and Dr. Axel Hartwig founded. Axel Hartwig already “learned” beer brewing from Werner Sauer, who at that time had been a master brewer for a long time. After finishing school, the apprenticeship as well as the study and practical work in various breweries followed. Almost 20 years later they both founded the company together.
