Description

Josef Schweigerer started Römerbräu in 2014 at Jedinger Hof in Oberhofen am Irrsee, near the border with Bavaria, in an unassuming building. The beers have been well-received in the region. 2020, he was able to acquire a new brewhouse and fermentation and storage tanks. In the new facility, they now produce twenty hectoliters per brewing process instead of three! Schweigerer has also doubled the storage capacity in 2023. Römerbräu has grown up, but the small facility continues to exist. Schweigerer offers beer seminars where participants can learn how to brew beer in the small brewhouse and, conveniently, stay in the guest rooms at Jedinger Hof.
