Description
More than 335 years ago, the Wallon Jean de Chaine founded in Mannheim a tavern with attached brewery, which he named after the German translation of his surname Eichbaum. From this developed to today one of the largest and most efficient breweries of Baden-Wuerttemberg. It is the oldest company in Mannheim, which has been based in different locations but always in Mannheim since its founding and is still an important factor in the economic and cultural life of the city square.
