Description
The brewery in Svijany was founded in 1564, making it one of the oldest Czech breweries of all time. Its modern history goes back to the last change of ownership in 1998 when the purely Czech company Pivovar Svijany, s. RO (after 2005 Pivovar Svijany, a. S.) became the new owner of the declining brewery with an exhibition of 30,000 hl. Since then, the brewery has multiplied its exhibitions to a record 638,399 hl last year and has become one of the most popular brands of traditional Czech beer.
