Description

The founding of our family business based in the baroque residential town of Oettingen in the Bavarian town of Schwaben can be traced back to the year 1731. The "Fürstliche Brauhaus zu Oettingen, OETTINGER Bier", renamed the Cooperative Brewery only in our century, was taken over in 1956 by Otto and Günther Kollmar. Günther coined from the 1970s, as the era of supermarkets began, a new corporate strategy, which is pursued consistently and successfully today: He established direct sales and the focus on price-conscious consumers. With success: Today OETTINGER is one of the largest beer brands in Germany in terms of output. The success story of Günther Kollmar's son, Dirk Kollmar, was continued. As early as 1993, he became managing partner of the Oettinger brewery and set groundbreaking impulses. He continued, along with his father, the path taken. The company developed from a pure brewer to a flexible and multi-faceted beverage producer. Above all, the family always had the values of tradition, honesty and respect. Following the deaths of Günther Kollmar in 2013 and Dirk Kollmar in 2014, it is an obligation on the management and employees of the traditional family-owned company to go further in the direction of Günther and Dirk Kollmar's senses.
