Description

The Mezzavia brewery was born in Selargius (Cagliari) in 2014, after two years of study and planning. Production begins in May 2014, and is currently divided into 5 references in the bottle and a reference produced exclusively for the pub market. The brewery has a production plant with a capacity of 6 hectoliters and a 72 hectolitre cellar. The production cycle involves processing at least 45 days, with a long maturation at low temperature in the tanks and a second fermentation in the bottle that gives the beer its natural carbonation. Mezzavia beers do not undergo filtration or pasteurization: beer thus remains a living product to which the natural evolution, combined with the traditional approach of production and packaging, give a unique added value. The care of every phase of the production process and its repeatability under the sign of consistent quality has allowed Mezzavia beers to immediately establish themselves in national and international beer competitions and to receive quality awards and certificates. Mezzavia beers are characterized by cleanliness, balance and elegance, and find their natural location in the world of quality catering and in the glasses of all beer lovers. The name Mezzavia was born from a poem by Umberto Saba composed in 1912, "After the sadness", in which the poet writes: "and I enjoy the bitter / sitting beer of half-way back / in the face of the overcast mountains and faro ", giving the reader an image of pleasure and calm serenity combined with one of the main features (bitter, in fact) that characterize the beer tout court. But Mezzavia also indicates the style of Alessandro Melis and his creations, their ability to meet the taste of the general public and to be appreciated by enthusiasts and tasters.
