The Craft Beer Brewery: Finally, it's all about "hops and malt" - the brewery operation in the Museum Brewery was resumed at the beginning of the 2016 season! Depending on the season and the wishes of the clientele, different beers are produced in the brewing factory. For museum guests we brew especially the "cellar beer" - naturally cloudy, unfiltered. During the season the beer is served in the brewery, the inn Post, the smithy cellar and the museum terraces, the sale takes place in the "bar" and in the "museum shop" and over the local beverage trade as well as gastronomy. In the authentic ambience of the old brewery in the open-air museum Hagen (in the "barn" next to the brewery building) you will get to know the craft of brewing beer - in theory practically! There are 6 informative and entertaining hours, all about beer. Think of warm clothes, in our very old seminar building, with the thick walls, it is always quite "fresh". Our experienced brewer teaches the basics of beer production and presents interesting facts about liquid golden luck. Equipped with this knowledge, you make your small waste (about 15 liters), so that you are immediately afterwards able to brew at home yourself. Supplied with tips and tricks from the Brewmaster, you become true beer professionals throughout the day. A hearty snack and home-brewed beer may not be missing, more soft drinks are also served for refreshment! Beer tasting: We organize our beer tastings in the early evening in our brewery. In approx. 3 hours we present at least 10 participants in tasting 8 different beers. Each with a maximum of 0.25 liters, the participants come to the enjoyment of up to 2 liters per person. This is already something for "strong" types, although the amount of course does not have to be completely consumed. We also serve cold dishes like bread-sausage-cheese-varieties and salads. It should be noted here that the craft beers that we present are very expensive to purchase. We present an international assortment from Germany, Europe and the USA.
