Description
The history of the Licher private brewery begins in 1854, when the innkeeper son Johann Heinrich Jhring founds a steam beer brewery in Lich in Hesse in order to supply the parental restaurant "Zum Löwen" with beer. Four years later, the "Gambrinus Brewery" of Christoph Jakob Melchior starts operating in Butzbach, only 15 kilometers away.
