Description
In 1919, four breweries in Douai merged to form the La grande brasserie des enfants de Gayant2. Celta non-alcoholic beer was introduced in 1970, Goudale in 1994. The name was changed in 1995. In 2001, the Gayant brewery took control of the Vandamme brewery in Ronchin, which was the Triple Secret des Moines, Grain d'Orge, Ambrée des Flandres, Septante 5 and Belzébuth. The following year renamed Brasserie Grain d'Orge, it was closed in 2005 and production moved to Douai. In 2010 the Aubreby family, who had owned the brewery since 1955, sold it to André Pecqueur, who owned the Brasserie de Saint-Omer3. The production facility was relocated to Arques in 2017 to get closer to the Brasserie de Saint-Omer. It was given the name Brasserie Goudale.
