Description

Tyskie Browary Książęce has been an integral part of the history of Silesia for almost 400 years. It is a pearl of regional architecture and a modern brewery. Tyskie's heart is beating here. Here, beer has been brewing continuously since 1629, which means that it is one of the oldest breweries in Poland. Tyskie Browary Książęce was founded on the initiative of the Promnitz family and flourished at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The then owner of the brewery was a visionary, Prince Jan Henryk XI. Hochberg. The brewery has had a significant impact on the local population for centuries - many residents of Tychy and the surrounding area found work there, and in 1893 even a railway line was established: Browar Tyski - a railway station. In 1950, the brewery technical school was opened near the brewery. Today, the brewery extends on both sides of Mikołowska Street in Tychy. The historic part of the brewery is looked after by a monument caretaker, next to it is a modern bottling and distribution center. Since December 2004, every beer lover can come here and see how we brew them, and meet brewers who are real enthusiasts and willing to share their experiences. The tour begins in the museum section, which houses unique bottles, cooper tools, documents, photographs, collections of beer mugs, caps and barrels. The next point is the visit to the brewery. This is a special moment of the journey, which is very popular. The tour ends in a pub where you can drink a pint of delicious, freshly brewed, unpasteurized 14-day Tyskie Gronie beer.
