Description
Marcus was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia. His parents are of German descent and emigrated in the 1960s. Therefore, he grew up bilingual in Australia. In the 90s, he migrated to Germany to do his hotel training in the Black Forest. He then worked in Karlsruhe, Leipzig, Hong Kong and Melbourne for various hotels. He spent 6 years as Director Food & Beverage for Princess Cruises with crews of up to 550 before being promoted to Corporate Director Beverage Operations for the entire fleet in Los Angeles. He then moved to Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos and had a brief stint in Point of Sale Systems and Digitalisation. Marcus holds a Bachelor of Business from La Trobe University, as well as a Master of Business from the University of Liverpool.
Kathrin comes directly from Wenigumstadt and entered the hospitality industry immediately after her Abitur with a hotel management apprenticeship at Maritim in Darmstadt. After her first experience abroad at InterContinental in Dallas, she decided that she wanted to gain more experience abroad. She ended up with Princess Cruises as Jnr F&B Manager and worked for 6 years on various cruise ships, most recently as Bar Manager and Food Manager. She then followed her husband to Los Angeles where she worked in purchasing for Princess Cruises Corporate before becoming General Manager West Coast for a cruise ship food wholesaler where she still works today.
