Description

Andy Hepworth started brewing almost immediately after graduating from Reading University. He moved to Horsham in 1980 and within five years became the country's youngest head brewer and won many awards. Horsham's long brewing tradition came to a halt in 2000 with the sale of the last brewery. Determined to keep this tradition alive, Andy teamed up with key members of the brewing team to create Hepworths - an independent brewery with the aim of building its own range of quality brands while maintaining the flexibility to work to order. The response to the new company has been enormous. The financing was built up from severance payments and contributions from family and friends. The company was founded in 2000 and started production in 2001. It is constantly expanding.
