Description
Gueuzerie Tilquin began its activities in February 2009. It had been 12 years since a new gueuze producer had emerged in Brabant (the previous one was Geuzestekerij De Cam in Gooik, which started in 1997).
The Gueuzerie Tilquin is the first gueuzerie in Wallonia. The company is located in Bierghes (Rebecq), 200 meters from the linguistic border, and is managed by Pierre Tilquin. Pierre is a bioengineer and holds a doctorate in statistics and genetics. He then followed an intensive course in brewing sciences in Leuven, and gained his experience at the Huyghe brewery (Melle), 3 Fonteinen (Beersel) and Cantillon (Anderlecht).
