Description

The brewery emerged from a brewery that existed over 350 years ago. In 1845, the financiers John Fuller, Henri Smith and John Turner joined this brewery and expanded the brewery into a large brewery. In 1909 the Beehive Brewery in Brentford and its 34 pubs were taken over. The takeover of the Gales Brewery in 2005 was one of the largest takeovers in the company's history. Fullers entered the cider market in 2013 with the acquisition of Cornish Orchards Limited. Today, Fuller's also operates nearly 400 pubs in the UK. In February 2018, Fuller's took over the Dark Star Brewery in Partridge Green. In January 2019, Fuller's announced to sell its brewery business to the Japanese Asahi group. The pub and hotel division should remain with Fuller's.
