Description

At the beginning of the 17th century, some Counts of Arco (originally from the town of Arco in Trentino-South Tyrol) emigrated to Bavaria. In 1812 they inherited the Adeldorf Castle with a brewery with brewing rights since 1671. Already 9 years later they inherited the Valley Castle in the Valley community, also with a brewery and a brewing right dating back to 1630. In 1854 the name of the Counts of Arco on Valley was increased, which is still reflected in the company name. Arcobräu brews under a similar name (owners and operators are also descendants of the Counts of Arco, the Arco-Zinneberg family).
