Description
Founded in 1744, Glaabsbräu is the oldest brewery in southern Hesse and one of the few still existing family-run breweries in Hesse. In 2015, the company took a courageous step in a declining beer market: creating beers that do not belong to the mainstream and are more demanding than the purity requirement - all made naturally using a gentle brewing process. Excitingly different. For this purpose, over EUR 4.5 million has been invested in a new brewery and a brand relaunch since 2015. Since then Glaabsbräu has been the most modern brewery in Hesse and with its core range, craft beers and Hessian brewing specialties one of the most innovative breweries in Germany. With an output of 15,000 hl and an annual turnover of approx. EUR 3 million, Glaabsbräu is one of the smallest owner-managed breweries in the Rhine-Main area.
