Hofgut Farny was originally owned by Konrad Kugel. This received in 1833 by the Government of the Kingdom of Württemberg, the concession for the establishment of a real beer brewery. In 1856, Bibiane Farny (née Kugel) and Eustache Farny acquired the brewery from the parents and siblings of the Kugel family.
