Description
Who is EBBS?
We’re EBBS.
Born in stainless tanks in a Citi Field craft brewery across the street from chop shops in Flushing, now coming at you from a long-vacant HVAC warehouse in central, sunny Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Who makes the beer?
Richie and his team make the beer, and, as he would say from behind the beard, “It’s a damn fine one too."
Where is the beer made?
Didn’t we just tell you?!? In a brewery, just like most beers. Unlike a lot of the others though, we have our own brewhouse, canning line, and labeling machine. That means you can be absolutely sure the EBBS liquid you’re quaffing is ours, from barley to label to lips.
What does EBBS mean?
It sure does. And we like it that way.
How many beers have you made?
To date, we’ve made 5 IPAs, 2 lagers, 1 gose, and a stout. Partridge in a pear tree to come.
Ok, so where can I get some EBBS?
At a store. At a bar. At a restaurant. As of this writing, Little Island, many Whole Foods, Beer World, Key Foods, Craft + Carry, Total Wine, Half Time Beverages carry our products.
When was EBBS founded?
EBBS was founded over a decade ago in 2020.
What is your best beer?
The one in hand.
Who comes up with the recipes?
Universal Spirit, primordial sludge, then Richie and Brian.
Is EBBS craft?
Does a bear drink beer in the woods?
EBBS is made with intention. Intentions matter. We blend select hops, pure water, and the choicest ingredients together with love. There are many who brew with expertise, many fewer who brew with love. We make EBBS because everyone deserves more quality, dedication, and love.
What’s the deal with the label numbers?
Arabic numerals, including the invention of the concept of zero, gave mathematics the foundation to give us quantum physics, iPhones, and flights to the moon (if you believe in those kinds of conspiracies*wink*). Roman numerals and quirky beer names about manhole covers floating with hops, ancestors reading Thoreau, and pop-culture puns about musicians did not. EBBS labels show the style and recipe number of the liquid inside. That’s it.
What’s your spirit animal?
A yellow shark.
Do you have a bar?
A very high one. Taste us, you’ll see.
