1843: In 1843, the innkeeper Josef Rosenlehner left the then "Bräugesellschaft", which consisted of 7 innkeepers, and set up his own brewery at Freyunger Straße 7 in Grafenau. Old brewery around 1955 1863: In 1863, the innkeeper and butcher Johann Nepomuk Bucher acquires the inn and the attached brewery. Since then, the brewery has been owned by the brewing family Bucher-Wiedemann. The mother of the current owner is a born Bucher. 1902: Acquisition of the inn on the town square Grafenau with the then associated beer cellar. The inn was resold in the same year to the Kellermann family and is therefore today the hotel inn "Zum Kellermann" the oldest still existing customer of the brewery. In the former beer cellar in the Elsenthaler street is today the discotheque "d'Nuss". 1926: Acquisition of the inn "zum Jägerwirt" in Grafenau. Old brewery around 1955 1952: Start of the production of soft drinks. 1963: A new brewhouse with 35 hl rash quantity is put into operation. Beer is still being brewed with this brewhouse in Denver / USA 1982: Milestone in recent brewery history When the old brewery in the city center of Grafenau became too small due to the steadily growing beer output, Wilhelm and Luise Wiedemann, the parents of the current brewery Owner, in Elsenthaler Straße a new brewery based on the most modern aspects of brewing technology. 1997: Introduction of BUCHER Pils in the trendy 0.33 bottle. 2002 and 2009: The bottling plant will be completely renewed in 2 construction phases. Now 12,000 bottles per hour can be filled. 2004: Introduction of Goaßerl, a trendy mix of beer, cola and cherry juice. 2012: The neighboring cogeneration plant is leased, so that the majority of the required electricity is generated by itself. 2013: Renewal of the refrigeration system. Thanks to modern plant technology and in particular through intelligent control and regulation technology, over 35% of the electricity required for this purpose can be saved. 2014: Modernization of the brewhouse, installation of a new brewhouse control according to the most modern aspects of brewing technology.
